The Old Dominican Friary A partially surviving complex of friary buildings situated to the east of the Minster, dating from the 14th century and referenced in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. It is currently in use as a youth hostel and is reputedly haunted. A tomb cover from the long demolished friary church survives against the wall, protected by an awning. Inside there are surviving medieval and Tudor wall paintings. |

The gardens of the friary include this medieval doorway built into a later wall. This is not part of the friary but was taken from a guildhall building in the town centre. |
||
| The Parish Church This is the original parochial church of Beverley, situated at the town centre, nr. to the market place. A spacious and impressive church, the presence of which makes the survival of the Minster during the reformation seemingly improbable.
